unstable常见的问题在于：
- 上游错误（通常很快就会被修复）
- 依赖关系暂时被破坏（这是主要的危险，在更新时必须小心）

unstable用户会遭遇到最新的错误（在少见的情况下会导致软件无法使用甚至系统崩溃），更新时依赖关系可能被破坏（特别是在发布后的包迁移期，unstable几乎完全无法更新）。unstable用户应当做好备份并在每次更新时保持高度谨慎，最好安装软件包apt-listbugs和apt-listchanges查看软件包的变更和现存问题。unstable是开发快照，虽然存在政策约束，但是不如stable中那么严格。，不建议没有经验的新手使用unstable。
但是只要你能够认真维护，unstable可以正常使用。
I’ve been on Debian Sid as my daily driver work and home for a number of years and it’s basically rock solid. I do get 2 or 3 bugs per year that I need to workaround/report/wait for a fix. Only thing to watch out for, be careful doing apt dist-upgrade, check the “will be removed” section . Some package updates take a number of days to come out, qt libs for example. So a dist-upgrade part way through will try to delete most of qt for example.
